Physics solvers and neural surrogates, shipped as product features.

An independent simulation software company in Slovenia, building physics and machine learning into the tools other engineers design in.

Current focus

Woven-fabric mechanics for textile CAD

Fabric is woven under tension. On the loom the yarns are stretched and pressed into place; off the loom they relax, shift sideways and settle into each other — and the cloth that comes off the machine is never quite the cloth that was drawn on screen.

We build simulation that predicts how yarns deform and relax under loom tension, so a designer sees the true relaxed fabric at design time, in the CAD tool they already work in, instead of weaving a physical sample to find out.

Behind this frame is one such prediction: a demonstration fabric going from the regular design drawn on screen to the shape it settles into under loom tension.

Development runs on the EuroHPC supercomputer Vega under a 2026 AI Factory compute allocation, “Periodic mechanics of textiles”.

What we do

From reference physics to a feature designers can use

Ground truth Physics-based solvers
We formulate and implement numerical solvers for the mechanics of the problem at hand — the reference physics behind every feature we ship, built to run at scale on HPC systems.
Speed Neural surrogates
Full-fidelity solvers are too slow for design tools. We train machine-learning surrogates on solver results to bring predictions to interactive speed — fast enough to sit inside a design loop.
Product CAD integration
Simulation is only useful where designers already work. We deliver solvers and surrogates as features of existing commercial CAD tools — engineered and maintained as product components, not research code.
About

An algorithm factory in Slovenia

Tovarna algoritmov — “algorithm factory” — was established in 2026 by Jan Tomec and operates from Slovenia.

I am an engineer. By profession and at heart. After my PhD in computational mechanics I have pursued programming multiphysics solvers further. AI has changed the scale at which this is possible. It allows experts like me to work with unprecedented efficiency and to build remarkable solutions. That’s why I started this company — let’s build something!
